EPA partners with Paradigm Group
PARADIGM GROUP recently partnered with the Environmental Protection Agency's voluntary WasteWise program.
Syosset, NY - February 3, 2009 -The program asks that we do what we can to prevent unnecessary waste, buy recycled products, and finally recycle as much as possible. Although participation in the program is voluntary, PARADIGM GROUP takes its participation very seriously. According to Marcello Sozio V.P. of Business Development: "PARADIGM GROUP has always made preservation of the environment a high priority, by bridging the gap in the cost to the consumer of environmentally sensitive and recycled products in our category.” The Waste Wise message is an extension of that philosophy.
PARADIGM GROUP’s Waste Wise goals for this year is to be very proactive in taking the message to our client base by providing Cost Neutral Conversions through our Emerald Brand, raising awareness of what the environmental benefits are through purchasing recycled products and providing higher yield solutions for the workplace. As part of our tool set PARADIGM GROUP provides eco-calculators for measurability to insure success of the Waste Wise initiatives. In addition, scheduled for spring 09 PARADIGM GROUP will be presenting a rewards program for members of the Waste Wise partnership.
In many cases, particularly in the office setting, waste prevention means thinking before using a resource. We tend not to think as much about the materials we use at work, but it accounts for 25% of the entire waste stream. Preventing the waste in the first place helps us all reach our greener goals.
If we all make small changes in our daily operations and change a few habits, we can make a big difference, both to the environment and to our bottom line. Let’s get Waste Wise!
