The trouble with a rapidly expanding sector, plenty of opportunity and thousands of new products is that choice rarely makes for a good teacher.

As jan/san - one of the fastest growing sectors in recent years - expands with numerous firms offering their services, finding the right partners from which a dealer can learn can be tricky. But there is a wealth of experience out there if you know where to look.

And it has some pedigree to back up its claims. CEO Ralph Bianculli was formerly senior VP at both Unisource Worldwide and Georgia Pacific, where he spent ten years learning about distribution and the manufacturing process.

Founded in 1997, the group was a result of the realization by Bianculli and his team that there was a drive towards the consolidation of deliverables to the end user in the business environment. The group focuses on three categories - breakroom, jan/san and mailroom & packaging - where they believe there is a lack of dealer knowledge.
